Jay Sean hits the number one slot

THIS IS IT, but it will never be!

The last time one of Michael Jackson's tours played the continental United States was 1988. So perhaps it's no surprise that "This Is It," Sony Pictures' film made from rehearsal footage for Jackson's planned London concert series, did more than twice as much business internationally in its first five days as it did domestically.

"This Is It" opened to a studio-estimated $68.5 million in 108 foreign territories from Wednesday through Sunday and $32.5 million in the U.S. and Canada, where it started late Tuesday.

THIS IS IT, but it will never be!

It was a show that promised a come back of MJ, as he put the missing pieces in his life's puzzle together. Jacko who was known for being an amazing performer, awesome singer and incredible dancer who gave us some very innovative videos was gearing up for his 50 concert residency at London, in July this year, after a 12 year hiatus…Click on to know more…..

Michael will be remembered because of his music now....

Michael Jackson was unquestionably the biggest pop star of the '80s, and certainly one of the most popular recording artists of all time. In his prime, Jackson was an unstoppable juggernaut, possessed of all the tools to dominate the charts seemingly at will: an instantly identifiable voice, eye-popping dance moves, stunning musical versatility, and loads of sheer star power.

Michael Jackson-- an enigma, a genius, a kind, troubled soul - let this soul rest in peace!

India getting to know itself

Indian Ocean is a contemporary fusion music band from India. Some music critics describe the Indian Ocean music as "Indo-rock fusion with jazz-spiced rhythms that integrates shlokas, environmentalism, mythology and revolution".

Indian Ocean
Indian Ocean

Their music defies labeling and there is no generic formula, it’s an amalgamation happening in your mind and heart – there is rock, western pop, Indi-pop, classical, ghazal and qawwali, and a hundred different types of Indian folk music. The fabulous four work together as a band, but have individualized styles, each quite different from the other.
The band had its genesis in 1990 when Susmit Sen met Asheem Chakravarty and their somewhat focused jamming sessions resulted in a few concerts. Susmit was on the guitar

Guitar and Asheem on tabla In 1990, with Shaleen Sharma on drums, they recorded their first demo. In 1991, Rahul Ram, a schoolmate of Susmit's joined the band on bass. After a lot of persuasion, and on the strength of the demo tape, HMV

HMV agreed to record Indian Ocean's first album in Kolkata. It took another year for it to be. In the first five years of the band's existence they played exactly four concerts. Shaleen, the drummer, left the band in March, 1994. In his place came Amit Kilam, just out of his teens and still doing college exams.

Vocals were then added, Susmit and Asheem left their jobs and had kids. Music became their only source of income - when not playing concerts, they odd-jobbed on music for television serials, advertisements and documentaries.

September 11, made MJ's heart cry ..

MJ- This Is It!
MJ- This Is It!

"How many people will have to die

before we will take a stand

How many children will have to cry,

before we do all we can

To love and to teach you

To hold and to need you

What more can I give

Just call my name, I am your friend"

September 11, made MJ's heart cry and these words came straight from his heart. Truly, nothing can really be said about the man who touched millions whether they were black or white; yellow or brown; rich or poor; educated or not. The genius who gave us Thriller, Dangerous, Black or White, Heal the world, and record breaking albums, many don't know supported 39 charities and believed in the power of giving.....

Indian Ocean can be colorfully called as the ‘Indo-rock fusion with jazz-spiced rhythms’. And what is this fusion all about? Well, the Band’s music integrates shlokas, environmentalism, folklore and revolution - fusion indeed !
